Two Words: Coyote Point

You've seen one Best Western, you've pretty much seen them all. However, I continue to post photos of every hotel at which I stay. I don't know why; it's now become a force of nature. Here was last weekend's trip to the bay area.

Two Words: Pacific Northwest

I'm back from my trip to Ephrata, WA; Cornelius, OR; Salem, OR; and Portland, OR (although my voice has chosen to stay away a bit longer). As always, photos of my hotel rooms (I don't know why I do this; I am compelled.) Also, a cool building across the street from where I had dinner with my son and his friends. And, being a hick from a small town, I have not seen these "new-fangled" toilet handles. Had to include a photo.

Two Words: Candlewood Suites

Just got back from my Mastermind trip. This time we went to Albuquerque, NM. We thought it would be warmer. Oops! One morning it was 12 degrees. (I know I'll never hear the end of of it from my associates.) Anyway, for whatever reason, I take photos of the hotel. These are three shots of the Candlewood Suites where we stayed.

I have to admit, for about $70 a night, they provide one hell of a value. I'll stay there any time I can.

Two Words: San Francisco

On my way to Albuquerque for my quarterly mastermind session with my buds. For whatever reason, I always take photos of the rooms where I stay. (It's become an obsession, I cannot stop it now.) Tonight, we stayed in a lovely Travelodge in South San Francisco.

Ah the joy...

Two Words: Portland Oregon

I'm moving my son Brandon to Portland, OR. It's a bittersweet trip; lots of time in the car on the way up here,  but I'm driving home alone. However, after 5 1/2 years, he's moving in with his long term girlfriend. I went out to dinner with them; they're very excited. I'm so happy for them. It makes it worthwhile. They're a great couple.

As always, wherever I stay, I post a photo of the hotel. Here's the Radisson at the Portland Airport. Pretty nice.

Two Words: Vidalia, Louisiana

After 3 hours of driving from Kenner, LA (and one of the worst storms I've seen), I have arrived in Vidalia, LA to speak to the Louisiana Notary Association. The location is right on the Mississippi river with the Natchez-Vidalia bridge out my window and a whole bunch of friendly people in the hotel. Places like this and people like these remind me how fortunate I am to be a speaker.

Tomorrow's topics are "What's In It For Me?" (a marketing basics overview) and I'll be closing down the conference with "Striving for Imprefection" (How to put together everything you learned).

Two Words: Gresham, Oregon

Just got into town to do a keynote presentation & a workshop for the Oregon Parks and Rec department. (Stuck on I5 in a major traffic jam for 2 hours due to a 12 motorcycle pile up.) We're going to have some fun tomorrow.

Per my weird obsession, here are the photos of the room in which I'm staying. Best Western Pony Soldier Inn.

Two Words: Whitehall, Montana

For the last few years, I've been taking pictures of every hotel at which I stay. I don't know why. It just seemed like the "thing" to do. So, posterous now has an app for the iphone ("There's an app for that!") and it uploads them automatically. This is the Super 8 in Whitehall, MT. (Don't I get to stay in glamourous places?)

Scott Q's Background:
In 1994, Scott lost 70 pounds and became a THINspirational Speaker (and recovering perfectionist). He now helps individuals and organizations overcome procrastination and perfectionism to be happier, healthier, and more productive. He is the past president of the Northern California chapter of the National Speakers Association, a Weight Watchers Diamond Leader, and a syndicated columnist with three books (at www.CompletelyInspired.com )

His presentations are described as “a cross between Business 101, Group Therapy and a Southern Revival.” He strongly suggests that in order to get the most of his presentation, you put your left-brain on hold.
Finally, although he has lost a great deal of weight and is a Weight Watchers leader, he is not a “food cop.” He will not watch what you eat if you do not watch what he eats. (Although he might be persuaded to do a seminar in your city in exchange for Chocolate or French Fries.)
